Every Page Counts

This term, we are delighted to launch Every Page Counts, our brand-new whole-school reading challenge designed to inspire a love of reading, celebrate progress and reward effort every step of the way.

At CBC, we believe that reading opens doors to learning, confidence and future success. Whether a student reads one page or one hundred pages, every contribution matters. That’s why our new challenge recognises and rewards regular reading, helping students build positive reading habits while having fun along the way.

The challenge is simple: read, quiz, succeed. Students can earn points in a variety of ways:

Reading Pages
Complete an Accelerated Reader quiz
Score 80% or more on an AR quiz

This means that every page turned and every successful quiz completed brings students closer to exciting rewards. As points build throughout the term, students can earn a range of prizes, such as:

Tuck Shop treat
£10 voucher
Cinema voucher

The best part is that points carry forward across the whole term, giving everyone the opportunity to work towards multiple rewards at their own pace.

Reading success is not just about individual achievements. Every successful AR quiz also helps students contribute to their tutor group in our exciting Form vs Form competition.

The more students within a form who complete successful quizzes, the more points their form earns. At the end of the term, the winning form will enjoy a fantastic celebration with a Pizza or Wingstop Party. It’s a great opportunity for students to encourage one another, work as a team and celebrate reading success together.

We cannot wait to see our students embracing the challenge, earning rewards and supporting their forms throughout the term.
