Cultural Capital

Cultural Capital refers to the key knowledge, experiences and opportunities that help pupils become well-rounded and informed members of society. It introduces pupils to important ideas, creativity and achievements, helping them to understand and appreciate the world around them.

At The Constance Bridgeman Centre (CBC), we place great value on ensuring that pupils have access to a wide range of opportunities that enrich their learning and personal development. Cultural Capital is developed through educational visits, trips and experiences linked to different areas of the curriculum, allowing pupils to explore learning beyond the classroom.

In addition to curriculum-based visits, pupils benefit from themed weeks, celebrations, reward trips, and a variety of engaging activities. These opportunities are designed to broaden pupils’ horizons and allow them to participate in experiences they may not usually encounter.

Our Cultural Capital programme is carefully planned so that experiences build progressively each year, helping pupils to develop their understanding of the world and supporting them in becoming confident, thoughtful and active members of their communities.
