At CBC, we believe that strong vocabulary builds confidence and opens doors to deeper learning. Each week in November, we introduced a powerful word to spark discussion and encourage students to use it in everyday life:
- Week 1: Capricious – unpredictable or subject to sudden changes
- Week 2: Futile – pointless or ineffective
- Week 3: Epitome – a perfect example of something
- Week 4: Exhilaration – a feeling of excitement and joy
These words were chosen to challenge thinking and enrich communication skills. Parents can support this initiative by asking students how they’ve seen these words in action—it’s a great way to reinforce learning beyond the classroom.
