Students at CBC recently had the opportunity to attend an engaging and informative presentation delivered by representatives from SIRM College, offering valuable insight into further education pathways, student life, and future career opportunities. The session encouraged students to think about their aspirations beyond school, while providing practical advice on college applications, courses, and the skills needed for success. It was an inspiring experience that helped students explore their options and feel more confident about their future goals.
CBC students also took part in an important presentation delivered by Bewise focusing on healthy relationships, personal wellbeing, and staying safe. The session provided students with valuable guidance on respect, communication, boundaries, and recognising positive and unhealthy behaviours in relationships. Students also learned about ways to keep themselves safe in a relationship, including where to seek support and advice if needed.
One student commented: “The presentation helped me understand how to recognise healthy relationships and how to stay safe in different situations.” Through open discussion and interactive activities, students were encouraged to build confidence, develop awareness, and understand the importance of maintaining safe, respectful, and healthy relationships.
