Inaugural RISE Cup Tournament

Pupils from CBC, NRHS, and RAP recently came together for the very first RISE Cup, an exciting inter school esports tournament designed to bring pupils together through friendly competition, teamwork and shared experiences.

Hosted by RAP, the tournament saw pupils compete in a series of Esports matches, playing both individually and in pairs as they represented their schools. Throughout the day there were moments of celebration, determination and resilience as pupils experienced the highs of winning matches alongside the disappointment that naturally comes with defeat. Every match was played in great spirit, with pupils encouraging one another and enjoying the opportunity to compete against students from the other schools.

The tournament provided pupils with much more than the chance to compete. It offered an opportunity to meet pupils from other schools, represent their own school with pride and experience healthy competition in a positive and supportive environment. For many pupils, experiences like this are incredibly valuable, providing opportunities to build confidence, develop social skills and create positive memories outside of the classroom.

After the final whistle, the competition gave way to celebration as pupils from all three schools sat down together to enjoy a meal. It was a fantastic way to end the day, giving everyone the chance to reflect on the tournament, chat with pupils from the other schools and celebrate a successful event together.

The success of the first RISE Cup has laid the foundations for many more competitions to come. With different events planned throughout the year, pupils are already looking forward to the next opportunity to represent their schools and compete for the RISE Cup.
