Post-16 Pathways – SIRM College

Students at CBC had the exciting opportunity to attend an engaging and informative presentation delivered by representatives from SIRM College, giving students valuable insight into the many opportunities available through further education. The session was designed to help students better understand the transition from secondary school to college life, while encouraging them to begin thinking seriously about their future aspirations and career pathways.

During the presentation, representatives from SIRM College shared detailed information about the wide range of courses and programmes available, highlighting how different subject choices can lead to rewarding careers across various industries. Students were also introduced to the college application process, entry requirements, and important skills needed to succeed in further education and beyond.

In addition to academic opportunities, the session provided students with a glimpse into student life at college, including extracurricular activities, support services, and the importance of independence, time management, and personal development. Students were encouraged to ask questions and engage in discussions, creating an interactive environment that allowed them to gain a clearer understanding of what college life can offer.

The presentation proved to be both inspiring and motivating, helping students feel more confident about exploring their future options. Many students left the session with a greater sense of direction and enthusiasm about the opportunities that lie ahead.
